Adam Angelidis, P.Eng., PARTNER
Adam has over 12 years of structural engineering and project management experience, working on a range of projects from high-rise residential towers to single family custom homes.
Prior to co-founding Juniper Structural Engineers, Adam also worked as an internal engineering consultant and project manager for Spearhead in Nelson, BC. His direct experience working with world class architects and builders from the perspective of timber and steel fabrication provides valuable insight to his projects. Adam also draws on a strong engineering background from his time with RJC Engineers in Calgary, and with the specialty mass timber engineering group at ISL Engineering in Canmore.
Adam’s design practice relies on strong relationships with Architects and Builders. He directly uses multiple 3D modeling software platforms to consider material procurement, fabrication efficiencies, project logistics, and installation in parallel with structural engineering design. Adam constantly pushes for consensus between cost and design expectations through clear communication.
His projects have won numerous awards including the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction Engineering Award (2017). and the American Institute of Architects (California) Design Award (2022). His work has also been featured in DEZEEN, DWELL, Wallpaper, and Architectural Digest, among other publications.
When he is not in the office, Adam is happiest when outside off the beaten path exploring his backyard as a climber, skier, and on his bike.

Morgan Deschuymer, P.Eng., PARTNER
Morgan has over 20 years of experience in construction, design and engineering. His practical knowledge and no-nonsense approach to structural engineering has consistently earned him the respect of builders and architects.
Morgan has spent most of his life and career in the mountains. He has a big picture perspective on working in tight labor markets while combating the complexity of short construction seasons. Morgan is particularly strong with his understanding and application of structural engineering in high snow load environments.
Prior to co-founding Juniper, Morgan worked with a custom prefabricated home builder, and with well recognized firms Fast+Epp, Structurecraft and ISL Engineering. Morgan is an advocate of traditional and modern timber frame engineering. He has recently consulted with local government agencies in Canada's Northern Territories to co-develop a housing prototype combining mass timber and prefabrication.
Outside the office, Morgan is an adventure seeker and can be found exploring on his boat, bike or skis near Nelson, BC. Morgan is also an avid woodworker and builder, he has tackled custom furniture, backcountry cabins, custom timber frame construction, and residential buildings.

Jack Scarr, PROJECT DESIGNER
Jack Scarr is a University of Bath Civil Engineering graduate with over six years of experience in leading UK structural engineering consultancies. Since joining Juniper, Jack has been an integral part of the team by assisting in the design and analysis of structural systems. He also brings a helpful perspective from his experience in Europe with Mass Timber systems and building technologies.
Prior to his time with Juniper, Jack worked as a Project Engineer at LEKO LABS, where he was responsible for the design and coordination of mass timber projects from concept to site installation. His experience also includes his roles as Research and Innovation Engineer at Heyne Tillett Steel, and as a Structural Engineer at Walsh Civil & Structural Engineers, where he designed reinforced concrete frame elements for projects up to 38 stories.
Jack is motivated by his interest in timber, low-carbon design, and the circular economy, which drives him to do more with less and challenge the limits of what a structure can do in a given application through his engineering approach.
Jack is a competitive trail runner, and avid kayaker, and skier. He enjoys spending time in nature and is fascinated by the influence of local culture on architecture and engineering.
